AFS-USA’s Summer program in California brings international high school students to the University of California San Marcos campus for thematic study and intercultural learning. The program’s focus on Leadership & Sustainable Development Goals.
ACCOMMODATION: campus of California State University – San Marcos
Morning Classes: Classes have weekly themes that build English Language competency and relate directly to the local excursions and activities of the week.
Afternoons & Evenings: During the afternoons, students have a variety of fun activities (held onsite) and excursions (offsite). Some of the excursions include popular destinations like Disneyland, local California beaches for surf lessons, San Diego’s Old Town, Oceanside Beach and Pier, La Jolla Cove, San Diego Safari Park, Balboa Park, and more.
